How many hours a week do you spend planning, writing down all the tasks in the field and then cleaning them up?
In surveys that we have always carried out, we obtain that this task occupies a minimum of 3 hours a week. In total we speak of approximately 10 hours a month, which is equivalent to more than one working day.
It is worth reflecting on the time you spend on tasks that you could automate with cheaper tools. Labor, although sometimes familiar, is a cost that must be taken into account as it is usually the greatest of all.
We have already seen in this article 4 solutions to speed up the planning of work in the field. And, although there are companies that offer tools to facilitate the day-to-day of workers in the field, these do not reduce the time in the distribution and control of activities in a farm.
In the field, there is always time for everything and, of course, we are not going to invest hours in learning to use programs if we are not sure that they will catch on with our employees. You will find numerous agricultural management software on the market, but the key is that its operation is simple and intuitive for you and your team.
That is why we are going to explain how to send work orders with Agroptima and that your workers send you what they have done quickly and safely.
How to create work orders with Agroptima:
To distribute the tasks you only need to take the following 3 steps:
1. Go to activities and select ‘New activity’; ‘With fields’.
2. In ‘Status’ select PLANNED and enter all the details of the work you need: type of task, date, field, product, worker and machine.
3. Save and check that the task is already in your list of activities marked as ‘Planned’.
How will your workers send you what they have done in the field?
Once they enter the app from their mobile phone or tablet they will see a planned activity. By selecting it, you will be able to see all the details. And at the end of their task, they will only have to take 3 more steps:
1. Modify the status of the task to ‘Finished’.
2. Enter the time they have devoted to the activity and write down comments if they deem it necessary.
3. Save. The technician or field manager will see that the activity is finished.
As you can see, the time that the field worker spends in writing down an activity is minimal. But time savings are also present by stopping:
Send SMS and calls to explain tasks.
Solve doubts not only in the field, but also from the office where the administration department needs to clarify concepts when cleaning tasks.
Digitize work orders. All the information will be ready and ordered to download the field notebook in one click; analyze the profitability of your fields or plots or download the information in an excel document.
